IOM Bulgaria is participating in a conference on the fight against human trafficking
IOM Bulgaria, along with colleagues from IOM Romania, are currently participating in the conference “Towards maximised effectiveness and unified practical cooperation in the fight against human trafficking” taking place in Warsaw, on November 26th-27th. The conference is organized by the Council of the Baltic Sea States Task Force against Trafficking in Human Beings, along with Ministry of the Interior and Administration of Poland. Participants include all member states of the Baltic Sea Council, as well as Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine, who are also participating in the “Harmonised Operational Project in the Baltic Sea Region” (HOF-BSR) project. The role of media and especially mass media in countering human trafficking was one of the main topics of discussion during the conference.
